Going to the Pharcyde
The Pharcyde has been busting rhymes for nearly two decades. In that time, they've garnered a long and tangled history and the respect and admiration of their peers despite that history, which includes drug use on behalf of their original producer J Swift and original member Fatlip.
Although The Pharcyde has never touched their initial rise to stardom with their debut album Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde, which went Platinum, the remaining members are loved worldwide for their streetwise rhymes laid down on jammy, head bouncing, beats.
Fans of The Pharcyde must have been psyched when they were added to the All Points lineup; the group has only toured a handful of times this year. Their live show is a great addition to any festival lineup, which tend to be a little light on the rap to begin with. Plus, the group is just plain fun, as Rum Bum's Danielle Hartnett found out in no time.
