Hercules & Love Affair: Disco's Back
If you´re looking for a breathtaking set of mixes designed to get your butt on the dance floor, look no further than Hercules & Love Affair. The intimate love affair between dance and classic disco is the music child of Andrew Bulter, who began DJing at a leather bar as a teen in his native city of Denver.
After a move to New York, he became further immersed in the club culture as a party promoter and began to make his own music. Butler's first 12" for the DFA label, 2007's "Classique" and "Roar" demonstrated his deep affinity for electro-disco and early Chicago house. Their self-titled debut album was released on March 10, 2008, featuring their hit single ¨Blind¨ which was awarded Best Song of 2008 by Pitchfork Media. The album has been well received and charted in the top 40 in several countries.
Hercules & Love Affair continue their disco revolution by performing at Ultra for the first time. The project brought the kind of music that can dwell in a living room but at the same time can move a dance floor. The band is currently working on their next record.
