Among the simmer of oohs, aahs, and deal-making at the Miami International Boat Show, were club music bumps at the Statement! Marine booth. Among the dozens of regal white sportfishers and motorboats, Statement! Marine’s sharp metallic blue 42’ Vee Bottom speedster is as slick as South Beach is chic. An open trunk exposes two shining Mercury 1200 supercharged motors, and right above them in the hood is a lit up LED screen and six crystal clear speakers that are busting out beats veejay style.

“It’s actually turned down pretty low!” shouts Bob Shutter over the music. “It can get really loud.” Shutter, simulator© Andrea Barrack / RumBum.comsimulator rigger and mechanic for Statement! Marine, explains (not using his inside voice) that the screen and speaker combo are just a taste of this super luxury vessel they call "The Ultimate Ride".

Their Patent Pending Air-ride suspension, or airbags cushioning the captains chairs, soften the blow of rough water. Whether in open air or the spacious cabin, guests enjoy tan, opulently plush leather seats sewn with diamond patterns. Video GPS helps navigation, and buyers can customize the design to perfectly reflect their unique personality. The speedsters are certainly for the most affluent of boaters (as one of these babies will run you about $850,000), but even if you’re not in the market they’re still fun to look at.

As if the blinged-out boat or club music wasn’t enough to draw a crowd to Statement! Marine’s real estate, they also managed to bring in a monster-looking racecar simulator (think Doctor Octopus meets arcade racing) to create even more of a hotspot. Yes, the company is well aware that they are at a boat show - not a car show - but the crowd of grown men gleeful with the opportunity to wait 20 minutes for to hop on board doesn’t seem to care that there’s not a 4-wheeler in sight. If there’s a steering wheel, they want at it. Forget the boat... is this thing for sale?
