Rum Bum Trailer Accident

The Rum Bum race team has survived another day to tell the story of their trailer accident.  The team made their way to the NHRA O'Rilley Spring Nationals aboard the Rum Bum tour bus pulling a 15ft. trailer. The accident occurred while the team drove down I-65, about 20 miles outside Mobile, AL. As they were cruising at 80 mph, the trailer tongue snapped in half and started dragging behind the bus connected only by the chain for about ¼ of a mile.  Luckily Bailey noticed the catastrophe about to happen  when he saw fire in his rear view mirror and was able to pull over before the trailer completely flipped.

The whole ordeal caused the team a three hour delay, first they had to wait an hour and a half for a wrecker to come to the rescue and then another hour and a half to get the huge trailer onto the wrecker. Over all, the team survived and they are making their way onto their next race with no casualties.
