Sun Fest West Palm Beach

Even though Dave Matthews won’t be attending, his lyrics “Eat, drink and be merry” ring true for SunFest 2009. The five-day waterfront music and arts festival has acquired both big-name and Indie acts to front three stages at this year’s extravaganza. Consider SunFest your highly-anticipated getaway, where working 360 days out of the year merits five days of freedom to “Chow, sip, dance, party, rock, laugh and repeat.” Next Wednesday, April 29, Flagler Drive in downtown West Palm Beach transforms into your own personal recreation haven.

The Tunes
This year’s SunFest has drawn headliners including  James Taylor, 311, David Cook, Citizen Cope, G Love & Special Sauce, Spyro Gyra, Slightly Stoopid, The Steve Miller Band, UB40, Gin Blossoms and Collective Soul, just to name a few. The SunFest administration is more excited than ever to present such an appreciated lineup.

"James Taylor is one of the most sought after performers and we are proud to present him at SunFest along with some of the top national talent we have confirmed," said Paul Jamieson, Executive Director of SunFest. "We know the economy is weighing heavily on people and we are planning for a great festival. I think pretty soon people will be looking for a little fun, and it will be right here in their backyard."

The Tix
Let’s be honest; there’s not one music fest this summer that can offer you more than three days of music madness for under $100. Save your loot for a weekend escape to Key West, compliments of SunFest. Early Bird passes to five days of SunFest: $60. "We know people are looking for affordable ways to enjoy themselves," said Jamieson. "At $60 for five days of concerts, there isn't a better deal to be had in the music scene. The best deals are the ones people can get early and for multiple days. If you buy a five-day Early Bird pass, you're paying $12 per day."

Early Bird passes are available at www.sunfest.com and are on sale until April 26. Prices will increase to $65 for five-day passes up until Wednesday, April 29. One-day and other multi-day passes are also on sale now through SunFest. Be sure to log on and check out the daily concert lineup and plan accordingly!
