Commented: Globe-Trotting Rider Proves It's Never Too Late on: Wed Feb 2 14:07:44 2011 I met Zigy by chance at a Horizons Unlimited motorcycle meeting in Colorado summer or 2009. He's really a fun guy and an exemplary rider--"all the gear, all the time"--and he's been like a world-traveling mentor for me. He boosted me up a few times when I was alone and traveling by motorbike in South America. I'm glad other people get to know him now. And no, it's never too late to learn to ride.

Commented: Planning a Motorcycling Year on: Sun Jan 9 12:34:13 2011 Hey Ken, looks like I'll get to see you in Greenville! My mother lives near there as well and since the show is right after her 70th birthday I figured that's a good show to go to. See you there!

Commented: The End of the Road on: Sun Dec 5 08:37:27 2010 Dahweed,at least with flying your motorbike you know very closely to the dollar amount it will cost you. Shipping (via sea) seems cheaper, takes much longer, and NOBODY can ever tell you what all the port fees will be. There's so many more variables for the little bit of $$ difference most folks don't bother with sea shipping. FYI, The whole equation changes if you have a *group* of bikes you are shipping. Then it makes absolute sense.
